17 tweets that sum up the struggle of trying to get a Coldplay ticket this morning

If you didn’t succeed, we’re not alone.

THIS MORNING, TICKETS for Coldplay’s concert in Croke Park went on sale.

The band, who will play next July, haven’t performed in Ireland since 2011 so demand for the tickets was high.

Coldplay fans all over Ireland were on Ticketmaster at 9am ready to pounce.

And they were greeted with this dreaded notice

The stress was mighty

Stress level: nervous poo before doing Maths Paper 1.

So many battles against robots were waged

The queues were an absolute state

A 47 minute wait, you say? Terrific. Not like I have anything else to do on a Friday morning.

At the end of it, some fans got lucky and secured a ticket

Over 80,000 people did, to be exact.

But others weren’t so fortunate…

The devastation was real

Particularly as there are hundreds of tickets up for sale on Seatwave already

The cheapest ticket will set you back a whopping €271.64. (To put that in perspective, the cheapest tickets on sale this morning were €69.50.)

Talk about adding salt to the wound.

Did we mention everyone made the same joke?

At least those who didn’t get tickets were reassured that their “click all the photos that have a shop front” skills were on point…

That’s a small consolation, right?

In short? Let’s keep our fingers crossed for a second date.

Do it, Chris. For the 80,000 other people who want to drunkenly sing Fix You with you.
